Basically you need to know the same things as you did for the bangladesh case study….only Boscastle is in Cornwall and therefore is an example of a flod in a richer (MEDC) country. So below are the same extracts from our syllabus as i posted for the bangladesh work……
“Rivers flood due to a number of physical and human causes. Flooding appears to be an increasingly frequent event.”
“The effects of and responses to floods vary between areas of contrasting levels of wealth…..A case study of flooding in a rich part of the world and one from a poorer area – the different effects of and responses to flooding.”
So the 3 key things are that you know what causes the flooding, what effects the flooding has and how people respond to the flooding.
